I am happy to announce the official release of the 2013 MTGA Riesling!
For those of you who preordered the Riesling it is now available, in the next week I will be reaching out to confirm you order. If you did not pre-order the Riesling now is your time to do so. As it stands today less than 30 of the 41 cases remain.
If you need to place your order the Riesling is $27 per bottle and you can contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It has been an extremely fun ride to get this wine added to the MTGA lineup. As many of you know, Riesling is one of my favorite wine grapes out there sheerly because of its versatility. I definitely lean more towards the Alsatian style of white wine so when I was figuring out what type and style white wine grape to work with my choices became more apparent. I had tossed around a few other ideas but this Riesling popped into place at the right time.
If you are looking for a very crisp style of white wine that is good on its own or with a bite to eat on the back patio here it is. The 2013 Riesling is super-dry (not a technical designation but I’m running with it). It does stick to that classic Riesling aroma and tasting but I will let you figure that all out for yourself. One little twist on this release is that it was not fined or filtered which gives it a little bit more weight than you might expect.
I hope that you will have the chance to enjoy this new release!
